How It All Started
Good News was started by a group of Christians—most of whom were members at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Verona—who saw the growing community of Mount Horeb as a great place to reach out with the good news about Jesus.
The new mission effort started in 2013. Since that time Good News has been sharing the good news of Jesus and serving the Mount Horeb community in a variety of ways. The mission effort has been supported by various individual congregations as well as our national church body, the Wisconsin Synod.

A Lasting Footprint
The gospel leaves a footprint wherever it it is heard. After several years of spreading the good news in Mount Horeb, our still relatively small church began the ambitious task of finding and purchasing land for a permanent church home. The goal of this effort was far greater than to construct a building that might last for several generations. It was to help us make a difference with the gospel that lasts into eternity.
