Good News Is Different

Good advice can be valuable. Good ideas can be influential. Good insights can be clarifying. Good opinions can be persuasive. But none of them is good news. Good news is different.

  • Good advice gives you something to do. Good news tells you something has happened.
  • Good ideas detach you from your present circumstances. Good news brings concrete change to them.
  • Good insights create distance between the messenger and the audience. Good news creates solidarity.
  • Good opinions get heard by being loud. Good news gets heard by being distinct.

The Bible’s good news is as good as it gets. Our sins have been forgiven. Death has been defeated. Everything wrong with our world will one day be made right. And it’s all because of what Jesus has done.

If you’re fed up with life’s incessant noise, try good news. We think you’ll notice the difference. We think you’ll find relief.

Good News Makes a Difference

Find relief from confusion

Life’s incessant noise makes it difficult to tell the difference between what’s fact and what’s fiction, what’s trivial and what’s important. But the Bible’s good news is clear and unchanging. It gives us solid ground to stand on so that we can confidently face the questions and challenges of each day—no matter how rapidly they change.

Find relief from Fracture

Life’s incessant noise pulls us in a thousand different directions all at once and makes it difficult to feel as though we’re ever fully present in a given place and time. But the Bible’s good news puts everything in its proper place. It reveals the full truth of who we are, why we’re here, what’s gone wrong, and how everything is made whole again in Jesus.

Find relief from Panic

Life’s incessant noise often fills us with fear and can easily paralyze us into inaction. But the Bible’s good news assures us that a better, brighter future is already certain. Eternal life in heaven is ours. Jesus is ruling over all things for our good. This security brings calm to our troubled hearts and mobilizes us to do the work Jesus has given us with courage and joy.
